i am cold
brr...
cold weather we are having today,
at any rate i can manage, being warm blooded and all...
my friend april is taking here test in nutrition and i am just kicking back relaxing...
WHEN I SHOULD BE STUDYING FOR THAT DAM ANATOMY TEST
haha, oh well shes done i think i'm going to go now...
in the meanwhile
i finished re reading the book "I kissed dating goodbye" by Joshua Harris
and OMGoshness
it helped me so much get through this emo stage...
reading it helped me understand what was happening with my life
and gave me useful insights to consider in reference to april...
i had read the book previously in high school
and i remember it being a good book
but now reading it in college
i realize how TREMENDOUSLY this applies to my life...
i am able to comprehend most of the ideas in the book that i couldnt before
and maybe in the future i will comprehend further
i finsihed re reading that book last night and i am going to try to read through it again
and finally figure out what i am going to do about my relationship with april...
i think it will turn out well... for the both of us...
it was because of april that i had the desire to read this book in the first place
after our performance on saturday
while we were leaving april headed back in to retrieve a book she brought with her...
when she came out i recognized the book as
passion and purity
of course i havent read this book myself
but i was familiar with the title
as obscure as it may seem
and as odd as it may seem that i was able to recollect the next detail...
passion and purity was mentioned in the book
i kissed dating goodbye...
it was the book joshua's mom gave him to read while in his teen years
and he completely wrote the book off and didnt delve into any of its insights...
just seeing that title
passion and purity made me remember about joshua's book...
i quickly called my friend vanessa on sunday
and asked her if she still had it...
and she did and she brought it to school on monday
WHERE I COULDN'T PUT THE BOOK DOWN
everything that was occurring in my life currently was explained in that book...
on another note... my lenten promise
tied in directly with the premise of the book as well...
i thought to myself "if i only had read this book during lent, maybe i wouldnt have faltered as i did with my fasting..."
looking back over the period of lent until now...
i realize i haven't done a great job in keeping myself in check...
but at this moment in time
the holy week...
it is my chance to atone for all that i have not been able to measure up to
all those broken promises...
it is a gift from God that this book came to me...
and i will make good use of it
