Spirit Games 2004
Final SG meeting take 2
Final SG meeting
Well everyone, spirit games 2004 is an official success!!
i would like to apologize to my loyal blog readers (all three of you) for the spontaneous hiatus on my blog due to the hectic schedule caused by last minute SG preparations.
Now that i am back i would like to say how wonderful it was to work with the spirit games committee on such a wonderful event and i'm looking forward to seeing them again sometime in the future.
They played my song "Redeeming Love" at the Praise Fest
with my legs aching so bad i was walking around with a cane...
(i was being maarte =P ) i got over it quickly
The day was hott...
i was afraid that i got dark... (oh no!)
well... if nething i've realized i am immune to sunburn...
Praise God for filipino skin..
looking back on the day... wow...
i kept BUSY...
still tired from the night before when i had like an hour of sleep
i dont understand how i was able to keep standing at the end of the day...
i spent the whole day preparing games and refereeing
hey both went well except for minor glitches
i sang in the morning at mass
(something i'm always fond of.. it's a wonderful honor)
i was really really busy during the day, so busy that i admit i missed a part of spirit games...
INTERVIEWING PEOPLE!!
mayn i wasn't able to maintain the spirit games diary on that day...
i had time at the end of the day and i interviewed people in the parking lot
but without GP it just isn't the same...
i think i will throw out that end of the day footage (it just doesn't feel professional)
hopefully everything turned out okay for the SG DVD =P
my favourite part of spirit games is just being a witness to so many communities
and there were a lot PRAISE GOD
i got to meet a lot of people both during spirit games itself and prior to it at MMP and at the meetings...
I got to meet, now a really close friend to me,
Grace from St. Lucy's Charismatic and her family:.
Nemfel, and Mark
i also met Mike and Hannah
and a few others
while singing for MMP i got to hang around with our lovely choir director
Ms Christy Nini (she's a nini, ya know she's fun)
and i got to meet two lovely LF girls
Lindsey and Cheska, boy aren't you two cool
At the meetings i was glad to work with so many people
Mr Jason Fish and Ms Charisse Nini, very wonderful coordinators
excellent Job on the first Spirit Games i don't think anyone could have done it as well as you guys with this first one
mark anthony was very funny always keeping the meetings light and friendly
Raymond was a hit as well, meetings were hardly dull with them around
sis Cyril and Mike from SLY were always there early for the meetings =P
i got to chat with them a few times actually because HOJ usually came early too...
*btw the punctuality award at SG was sorta ironic, since HOJ came to SG 1 hour late or so!
i missed out on getting an in depth interview wid sis cy because she was supposed to put all the SG couples who hooked up on blast...
it would have been an incredible interview, sigh...
met matt liberato from SCA
he was a really friendly guy...
another lightskinned matt =P
haha... this guy is cool though
also... i got to meet
Ms Gretchen Valiente from SOL
i've always had a secret admiration for her because she is an awesome daughter of God
and Jewel from SOLSD
who was a shining prescence at the games and at meetings...
she was always smiling and it was incredible for her and SOLSD to be able to drive so far to join us with the planning and participation of this event
i will look forward to getting to know her more hopefully in the coming year
Myron from SOLRH
an incredible worker
he is inspiring just watching him participate during meetings
an incredibly friendly person too
his energy that he brings to the meetings shows how much he is into the whole thing
all in all i met so many incredible people,
i am awe inspired about everyone...
Everyone working together...
God has truly blessed an awesome group...
