(achoo)
~> I just sneezed:.
thats allmild enough actually it doesnt really bother me a bit...
Today i had a test in my philosphy class...
it was a reall surprise...
10 flat out true and false questions can u belive it...
and the teacher gave a smirk little comment at the beginning of the test...
something along the lines of... i think most of you will do good on this test...
this comment alone convinced me that the whole test was rigged...
as i filled in all false on all ten questions...
i found it comical... and at the same time i imagined how stupid i would feel when i realize i was reading into our teacher too much... argh... oh well hope i did okay...
i was awake for the first part of the class easily enough...
then he started his second lecture after the test... and he would get caught up in his side stories and go on and on and on and on....
and i would gt sleepier and sleepier and sleepier and ... yea
still we ended class early and im still here at pcc waiting for sean to come down cuz he needs a ride to glendale...
the first night of the revue was pretty fun...
i havent been nervous to perform in such a long time
i really was shocked that i was nervous u know...
i mean what did i care if i messed up...
i felt like i was a sophmore again at my first revue...
getting all nervous for the performances...
well i am a little nervous for every performance...
but last night i was shaking a bit i think...dayum
another great thing that happened last night...
is for the second time in four years i think?
well at least not since my freshman year
i watched the revue...
from the audience...
i got nostalgic for a bit... but i really loved the show... and that's only a thursday night... i can only imagine what tonight will be like...
at any rate here is my stream of conciousness for today:.
~Three people won't be there for the alumni routine and one will add so we have to fix formations...
~really disappointed that nino isnt doing the routine anymore and i dont know much about it
~Playing with the idea to add a little bit to the end of the alumni routine since Grant wouldn't be around to object (snicker)
~WHAT TO WEAR!! actually i'm fine... its more like I HOPE I MATCH!!
~I havent been to the beach yet...
~i havent visited her yet... even though i promise every month or so...
~I miss nejel... more importantly i miss our relationship... how much closer we used to be... she roxers my soxers
~all the leading ladies in my life have all drifted away from mee... and i would as soon die as it to happen again... its a horrible feeling...
especially when u reminisce...
~yellowcard is a really good band
~harmony is hard to sing
~I LOVE SLOW JAMS
~i miss mel ... incredibly (i don't even know why)
~a lot of sean and my leading ladies in our lives coincide...
(pure coincidence... at least we could say that he has good taste in girls)
i'm beginning to ramble on...maybe i'll talk about something else...
on the current theme of my blog as of late
i was reading the newspaper from my school and i happend to stumble upon an interesting article
it reads:.
Roamntic Love is only a Vanishing myth
by Negin Kordbacheh
The Myth of romantic love with its many opposing angles is a distorted one. Marriage and family therapist Rhea Harris Junge, Ma, Mft, reveals the mystery that lies beneath our ordinary ideology of romance at the "myth of Romantic Love" presented by the Psychology Club on April 29th.
When we think of love and romance, a list of universal words captures our thoughts. Happiness, security, perfection, truth and faithfulness are all what we imagine love to be. Usch expectations often cause difficulties in our relationships with our partners.
Love is a deep connection you have with another person which you can't describe,Junge said, and it is unconscious; however, is important not to be fooled only by the beauty that it withholds.
As a child, we require the three most important ingredients to creat the potion of love within us: acceptance, belonging, and mirroring. Unfortunately, in the majority of cases not all three ingredients are present equally which causes the child to get wounded.
The theory ciruclates when the wounded child takes the lackin ingredient and places it in the trash can and eventually seeks its fulfillment from a special someone at some poin in their lives. In their minds, their so-called true love has the ability to heal, and the disposed ingredient is removed from the trashcan.
However, the problem begins when we blame our partner for the lackin which we experienced as a child. Ultimately, the person being accused reacts and the child once wounded is wounded again; a broken heart results. "Unconsciously, a mechanism drives us to magically fall for someone who is characteristacally related to our parents," Junge said. (eww... thats like falling for ur mom... eww)
Childhood ideas that we attribute to our parents such as, "if you loved me you would..." formulate our behaviour as an adult and create a black and white image of the world around us. When the three layers of anger, fear, sandess, and love breaks through our relationship, focusing on oneself before talking to your partner is key, Junge explains.
According to Junge, you have to get cose enough to a stiuation to be able to change it. IN this case she describes a few powerful methods to resolve the problem.
First, try looking inside yoursel fand understand the root of the accruing problem. Second, develop tools to ease the anger you hold inside. She strongly recommends journalling your feelings on a regular basis. (woot i got that base covered right here!) Once the two steps are completed, talk to your partners about the issue that has been bothering you. finally re-interpret your partner's behaviour before making and judgments.
True love does exist, and, a positive approach and ongoing willingness for self-enhancement could provide a more solid foundation.
Good job on that article...
it doesnt necesarily comply with my views on the subject, but its still a good source of information...
theres a picture along with the article with a dog and a cat huggin each other...
thats cute...
but come on... thats the equivalent of me hugging a koala...
is that even romantic!! come on now... haha oh well...
Sean should call soon:.
hopefully otherwise i might keep rambling on and on and on and on....
almost right on cue...
i'm going to wait for sean outside
