Soul, mind, and body personified into writing. These are my Daily Journals where i hold nothing back. I keep true to myself, and keep true to my words in this sacred place where it is solely possible. Against a world that i live in, this is my one solace... my one chance at freedom...

This is how Cardinal O'Connor, Archbishop of New York, met and became a good friend of Mother Teresa.:
"It was my Episcopal Consecrration in St. Peter's Basicalla of Rome. During the recessional, i noticed a woman dressed in a strage way, half hidden by a column, As i approached her, attracted by her presence, but before i could speak anything ot her, she said, 'Give him permission. Give him permission to use you, with consulting you.'
In a simple sentence spoken by Mother Teresa to Cardinal O' Connor that created a bond of trust between them that lasted for Mother until her death.

~(insight exerpted from Bev's Blog)
YES weekend/LSS is coming up and it's crunch time. ... Although I don't really like the words "crunch time". Anyways, I saw that 4rm Nemo's Devos [hehheh... whatcha think Jason?] & I remembered that usually, when things are getting hectic, I 4get 2 trust in God. I 4get that I need to trust in God and that the stuff I'm doing is certainly not 4 me. So that's where the "Give him permission 2 use u" came in. I want my talk to flow, I want the LSS to be a success, I want HOJ to be spiritually ready 4 it, I want.. many things 4 the YES/LSS. I just need to remember that it's all up to God. It's all His stuff. So watever happens, God will prepare me. God will make things gr8 and help us muddle thru the junk in our lives.

:0) ...I have hope.

IN the name of Jesus and for the love of Jesus and because Jesus has said that anything we ask you in his name will be granted, grant me the grace to love you above all, the grace to making my heart like the hearts of Jesus, meek and humble.

~JFK once said, "ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country," i picked this up over the weekend from the SH Lss and it goes, "ask not what God can do for you, but what you can do for God." What is the most common use for prayer now adays? Asking for stuff! also, complaining about stuff! Prayer is not like a suggestion box to God. prayer is for conversation with our Lord. God does answer prayers, but he does in his own perfect time, and his own perfect way. We must understand this and have faith in his decisions for us. At any rate wouldnt you get tired of a kid who keeps bugging you to give them this, give them that? else telling you how much their life needs something and when theyre doing fine you dont even exist? well that wouldnt be too much fun i guess =P

Monday
Jesus taught us to pray: 'Pray like this: 'Our Father...thy will be done...forgive us as we forgive...' it is so simple yet so beautiful. It comes throughout the day, on every day of our lives. If we pray the 'Our Father' and live it, we will know holiness. Everything is there: God, myself, my neighbor.

~over the weekend at the LSS at Servant's Heart there was a skit performed about the "our father prayer" it was an enlightening skit, entertaining as well. the point it was trying to make was that people this day an age do pray, but sometimes they are just reciting lines rather than making a thoughtful conversation with our Lord. In this skit they went over the lines of the our Father prayer and easily explained what one means by reciting the lines. It is not enough my friends to pray... but to know what you are saying, put some sincere thought into it or else what is the use.

~Another thought, i think that is a reason why praying in toungues is an effective way to pray. With toungues, you dont know what your saying in the first place so theres no way for you to just insincere words! while speaking in toungues your heart is opened up to the Lord and a connection is more heartfelt. its almost like a perfect prayer, for that perfect instance in time. I think in toungues, there is no way to NOT mean what you pray.

May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you....May you be content knowing you are a child of God.... Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you.
